GWR Collett ''5101' Class 'Large Prairie' 2-6-2 Tank Loco No. 4133 — Steamline Ltd.

LKR30. GWR Collett ''5101' Class 'Large Prairie' 2-6-2 Tank Loco No. 4133. In GWR plain green with 'G W R' in gold shaded red as used circa 1942 - 1947 and with shed code 'Salop' (Shrewsbury) on the running plate. This is handbuilt in brass by Duchess Models with their maker's plate on the underside. Fitted with AGH (Alan Harris) turned steel wheels, a Buhler or very similar motor coupled to a single stage gearbox, and with excellent cab detail. The model is lightly used and was probably painted by the late Les Richards who did most of the painting for Duchess Models. The prototype was into service from Swindon Works in October 1939. I am not sure of the first allocation but by March 1946 it was briefly at Plymouth Laira then spent the next 15 years at various West Country sheds before moving to Tyseley in November 1961. It was withdrawn from Leamington Spa in October 1964. £995.
