LGST125. BR ex- LMS Stanier Class '8F' 2-8-0 Loco and Tender No. 48477. Paired with a Stanier welded tender and in plain BR black with late crest. This is from a Gladiator brass kit built by Geoff Stratford and painted by Paul Rusted. Fitted with an ABC multi-stage gearbox couipled to a Maxon or similar motor, Slaters wheels, and with excellent cab detail. The model is lightly used. The prototype was into service from Swindon Works in June 1945 as LMS No. 8477 but allocated to the GWR. It was at Old Oak Common in 1947 (probably from new) moving to Crewe South in January 1948. It moved to Bescot in 1951 staying until February 1966 then moving to Oxley. Its last 7 months were at Tyseley from where it was withdrawn in September 1966. RESERVED.
