LGST128. Highland Railway 'Jones Goods' 4-6-0 Loco and Tender No. 103. In fully lined Highland Railway (Stroudley) yellow ochre livery as preserved. This is kitbuilt in brass but with much additional scratchbuilding, by Ken Mason. Painted and lined by John Cockroft. Fitted with an ABC-type multi-stage gearbox (probably with a Canon or very similar motor), Slaters wheels, and with very good cab detail. The model is lightly used and needs extra weight adding for serious haulage. The prototype, to a Jones Highland Railway design initially for freight engines, was into service from Sharp Stewart & Co. in 1894 as the first of an order for 15 locos numbered 103-117 by the Highland Railway (later numbered 17916-17930 by the LMS). It was withdrawn in July 1934 and stored at St. Rollox for preservation. Now in the Glasgow Museum of Transport. RESERVED.
