LDR15. LNER Gresley Class A3 Pacific 4-6-2 and Tender No. 2506 'Salmon Trout'. Paired with a Great Northern style coal-rail tender and in pre-war LNER lined apple green livery. Fitted with a large Crailcrest motor coupled to a heavy duty multi-stage gearbox, solid cast wheels, extra pickups on the tender, and with very good cab detail and driver. This is an older used brass model, probably scratchbuilt, with repairs and faults but in good running order. A substantial and heavy model ideal for a garden railway. The prototype was into service from Doncaster Works in December 1934 to Edinburgh Haymarket as LNER No. 2506. It became No. 41 in the LNER 1946 renumbering scheme thence BR No. 60041. It may have spent its whole life in Scotland, being withdrawn from Edinburgh St. Margarets in December 1965 having spent its last 5 years there. £795.
