LGST118. BR ex- Southern Railway ex- SE&CR Class R1 0-6-0 Tank Loco No. 31047. In plain BR black with early crest, painted by Paul Rusted. This is from a McGowan Models brass kit and fitted with a Mashima motor, single stage gearbox, Slaters wheels and with excellent cab detail. The model is lightly used and has a removable roof. The prototype was into service from Ashford Works in August 1895 as South Eastern & Chatham Railway No. 1047, retaining this number through Southern Railways days until becoming BR No. 31047 in 1948. It was withdrawn from Nine Elms in March 1960 having spent its last 2 years there. £695.
