LGS34. BR ex-LMS Stanier Rebuilt 'Royal Scot' 4-6-0 & Tender No. 46107 'Argyll & Sutherland Highlander'. In lined BR green livery with late crest and shedplate 66A Glasgow Polmadie, also carrying a headboard 'The Thames Clyde Express'. This is a brass model from a Gladiator kit built by Laurie Griffin with his maker's plate on the underside. Fitted with a Portescap motor/gearbox, Slaters wheels, American pickup system, and with excellent cab detail. The model is lightly used, the motor/gearbox combination is a touch noisy, and the motor is wired positive to negative (so 'forward' on the controller is 'reverse' and vice versa). The prototype Fowler 'Royal Scot' was into service from The North British Locomotive Company (Glasgow) in September 1927 as LMS No. 6107. As BR No. 46107 it was rebuilt by Stanier into taper boilered form in February 1950 and was withdrawn from Polmadie in December 1962 having been there since April 1942 (so spending its whole BR life there).
