LGST146. LNER Gresley Class J39 0-6-0 Loco & Tender No. 1803. In plain LNER black livery. This is by Sancheng for Tower Brass and has working inside motion and superb cab detail. The model is supplied in its original box having been very lightly used. The prototype was into service from Beyer Peacock Ltd at Gorton (Manchester) to Gorton shed in September 1936 as LNER No. 1803.. A month later it moved to March, then to Ipswich in July 1941 where it was renumbered to No. 4905 in the LNER 1946 renumbering scheme (and subsequently becoming BR No. 64905). It was withdrawn from Ipswich in September 1959, so quite an early withdrawal but it must have been a good steamer for Ipswich to hang onto it for so long. £895.
