LGST154. BR Ivatt Standard Class 2 2-6-0 & Tender No. 46521. In lined BR green livery with late crest and shedplate 89C Machynlleth. This is a brass model by Sancheng for Bachmann Brass with painting commissioned by Tower Models. Fitted with superb cab detail. The model is supplied in its original box, with accessories, having been very lightly used. The prototype was into service from Swindon Works to Oswestry in February 1953 then going to Brecon a month later, back to Oswestry in October 1959, then to Machynlleth in March 1963 from where it was withdrawn in October 1966. So a Cambrian loco for the whole of its life, and benefitting from the BR green paintwork on this class which was unique to Swindon. Positive fate took it to Woodham Brothers at Barry from where it moved in March 1971 to the Severn Valley Railway for restoration and preservation, re-entering service in July 1974. Subsequently moved to, and based at, the Great Central railway with its latest long-term overhaul under way. £1195.
