LRH06. BR ex-Southern Rly ex-SE&CR Maunsell Class D1 4-4-0 & Tender No. 31505. in lined BR black with early crest, lightly weathered, and shedplate 73E Faversham. This is from a David Andrews brass kit built and painted by Brian Tole and fitted with an ABC-type multi-stage gearbox, Canon or similar motor, Slaters wheels, American pickup system, and with very good cab detail and crew. It has a screw coupling on the loco and a Kadee coupling on the tender. This is a used model hard wired between loco and tender and requiring some light cosmetic refurbishment. The prototype was into service from Ashford Works in February 1907 as South Eastern & Chatham Railway No. 505, becoming Southern Railway No. 1505 and subsequently BR No. 31505 in 1949. It spent its BR days between Ashford, Faversham and Gillingham before moving to Nine Elms in June 1959 from where it was withdrawn in September 1961. £795.
