BR Riddles Standard Class 2 2-6-0 and Tender No. 78000 — Steamline Ltd.

LDCH01. BR Riddles Standard Class 2 2-6-0 and Tender No. 78000. In plain BR black with early crest and shedplate 89C Machynlleth (Cambrian Section). This is from a DJH whitemetal and brass kit and is fitted with an ABC type multi-stage gearbox, a Canon or similar motor, Slaters wheels, and with very good cab detail. Built by Sandy Harper in 2009 (signed on the underside). The model is lightly used. The prototype was the class leader entering service from Darlington Works to Oswestry in December 1952. It moved to Machynlleth in April 1953 and stayed until May 1963 when it moved to Nottingham. The final move was to Derby in January 1964 from where it was withdrawn in June 1965, its final journey being to Cashmore's at Great Bridge from where none survived. RESERVED.
