LMIB02. BR ex-LNER Thompson Class 'B1' 4-6-0 and Tender No. 61237 'Geoffrey H. Kitson'. In BR lined black with late crest and just a hint of weathering, AWS equipment fitted, electrification flashes, and shedplate 52A Gateshead. This is from a DJH whitemetal and brass kit, factory built by DJH, and fitted with their own motor and gearbox combination with Delrin final drive, Slaters wheels, and with excellent cab detail and crew. Additionally fitted with DCC and sound using a Zimo type MX699 decoder (address 1237). The model is lightly used and is supplied in its original DJH box with DJH and Zimo instructions. Please note that the loco and tender are currently hard wired together, and the cab window cinderguards require glazing. Due to the box length exceeding Royal Mail limits, shipping (UK and International) is by DHL only at cost price (or it can be sent via Royal Mail at a lower price in a plain box). The prototype was into service as LNER No. 1237 from North British Locomotive Company, Glasgow, in September 1947 to Neville Hill (Leeds). So it was just into service before nationalisation. It became BR No. 61237 and was withdrawn from Wakefield in December 1966 having spent time at Gateshead (and other North Eastern sheds) from 1961 to 1965. £1395.
