LGD06. LNER Gresley Class A4 Pacific 4-6-2 and Tender No. 2512 ‘Silver Fox’. Paired with a corridor tender and in the two-tone grey streamlined livery used from 1937 to 1942. This is a brass model by F.M. Models of Korea for L.H. Loveless and is fitted with all their usual refinements including working inside motion, opening smokebox door, and superb cab detail. This is a DC model which has been very lightly used as a display model and is supplied in its original inner and outer boxes with unused accessories. The prototype was into service from Doncaster Works to Kings Cross in December 1935 as one of the initial four A4’s for the LNER's new ‘Silver Jubilee’ service. It was renumbered to No. 17 in the LNER 1946 renumbering scheme thence becoming BR No. 60017. It was withdrawn from New England (Peterborough) in October 1963 having been a Kings Cross loco for almost all of its life. £2250.
