LRG38. GWR ex- Burry Port Avonside 0-6-0 Saddle Tank No. 2195 as a RESTORATION PROJECT. In plain GWR green with 'Great Western' in gold shaded red. This is kitbuilt in brass and fitted with a Mashima motor, single stage gearbox, Slaters wheels and good cab detail. It has had medium use. The issues with the locos are as follows (1) Although it runs OK one of the driving wheels is intermittently shorting on a brake block fitted tight behind one of the front cylinders. (2) The chimney needs straightening. The prototype was into service from the Avonside Engine Company to the Burry Port & Gwendraeth Valley Light Railway in April 1905 as No. 5 'Cwm Mawr'. The railway became part of the GWR in 1922 and the loco became GWR No. 2195 although the name was retained until 1929. It was withdrawn from Swindon in 1953. £125 as a RESTORATION PROJECT.
