LDS044. LNER ex- Great Northern Railway Ivatt Class C1 4-4-2 Atlantic and Tender No. 4404. In lined LNER apple green livery as running circa 1924 - 1929. This looks to be kitbuilt in brass to a good amateur standard and fitted with a single stage gearbox, can motor with flywheel, Slaters wheels, compensation on the driving wheels, extra pickups on the tender, and very good cab detail. This substantial model is lightly used. Note that it runs fine but the electrical pickups on the loco may need some attention. Also the loco and tender are hard wired together (ie. No plug and socket connection). The prototype was into service from Doncaster Works in June 1905 as Great Northern Railway No. 1081, renumbered by the LNER to No. 4404. It later became No. 2834 in the LNER 1946 renumbering scheme and was withdrawn from Kings Cross in August 1947 having also spent time at Cambridge, New England and Hitchin in LNER days. £595.
