LGS26. BR ex- LNER Gresley Class A4 Pacific 4-6-2 and Tender No. 60015 'Quicksilver'. Paired with a Corridor tender, having a single chimney, and in lined BR green with early crest and shedplate 34A Kings Cross. This is very well built from a brass kit, believed to be built and and certainly painted by Colin Tyler with his maker’s label on the underside of the tender. Fitted with an ABC-type multi-stage gearbox (not sure which motor type), Slaters wheels, American pickup system and with excellent cab detail. The model is lightly used and needs wide radius curves. The prototype was into service from Doncaster Works in September 1935 to Kings Cross as LNER No. 2510. It became No. 15 in the LNER 1946 renumbering scheme and subsequently BR No. 60015. It was withdrawn from Kings Cross in April 1963. RESERVED.
