LGD08. LNER Gresley Class P2 Streamlined 2-8-2 Loco and Tender No. 2003 'Lord President'. In LNER fully lined apple green livery. This was factory built by FM Models of Korea for L.H. Loveless and fitted with fully working inside motion, opening smokebox door and excellent cab detail. It has screw couplings on the loco and tender. The model was purchased by the current owner direct from L. H. Loveless and it has been used as a display model only with a light test run by ourselves. It is supplied in its original outer box with inner boxes, and with lamps, spare cab window cinderguards, and spare couplings. It is only the second Loveless model of 'Lord President' I have seen. Due to the box length, shipping (UK or International) will be by DHL at cost price. The prototype was into service from Doncaster Works to Edinburgh Haymarket in June 1936 specifically for the Edinburgh to Aberdeen services. The class of 6 locos were rebuilt by Edward Thompson in 1943/44 into class A2/2, 'Lord President' becoming LNER No. 503 and subsequently BR No. 60503. It was withdrawn from York in November 1959. 'Lord President' is the name given to the presiding judge of the Court of Sessions in Scotland. RESERVED.
