BR ex- LMS Stanier Class 8F 2-8-0 Loco and Tender No. 48107 — Steamline Ltd.

LGST141. BR ex- LMS Stanier Class 8F 2-8-0 Loco and Tender No. 48107. Paired with a Stanier welded tender and in BR plain black with a glossy finish, and with late crest and shedplate 9F Heaton Mersey. This is from a DJH/Tower brass and whitemetal kit built and painted by Tower Models (the building done by Ian Atkinson). Fitted with an ABC multi-stage gearbox, Canon motor, Slaters wheels, and with excellent cab detail. This is a well built model having had little use but the paintwork could be improved (weathering would take off the gloss finish). The prototype was into service from Crewe Works in March 1939 as LMS No. 8107 with subsequently the BR No. 48107 being applied in November 1949. It was withdrawn from Heaton Mersey (Stockport) in April 1968 having spent much of its life in the East Midlands. £1295.
