LTE01. BR (LNER Peppercorn designed) Class A2 4-6-2 Pacific and Tender No. 60532 'Blue Peter'. In lined BR green livery with late crest and shedplate 61B Aberdeen Ferryhill. This is from a DJH whitemetal and brass kit and fitted with a multi-stage gearbox, Slaters wheels and with excellent cab detail. This substantial model is supplied in its original box having had medium use. Note that the motor is wired positive to negative so 'forward' on the controller is 'reverse' and vice versa. Also note that due to the box length, shipping (UK and International) is by DHL at cost price or it can be shipped in a smaller box via Royal Mail Special Delivery at a lesser price (UK only). The prototype was into service from Doncaster Works in March 1948 to York moving to Edinburgh Haymarket (November 1949), Ferryhill (January 1951), Dundee Tay Bridge (June 1961) and back to Ferryhill (December 1966). After only 4 weeks there it was withdrawn at the end of 1966 and stored at Thornton Junction shed. In 1968 it was bought by Geoff Dury for preservation and is now owned by The Royal Scot Locomotive and General Trust and recently returned to steam after its latest overhaul. RESERVED.
