LPHG02. BR Riddles Standard 'Britannia' Pacific 4-6-2 and Tender No. 70007 'Coeur-de-Lion'. Paired with a BR1 tender and in BR green livery with early crest and shedplate 32A Norwich. This is a Limited Edition brass model by Masterpiece Models, No. 8 of 111 produced. Fitted with all the usual Masterpiece fine detail of a Korean, factory produced loco. The model has been lightly used mainly as a display model and is supplied in its original box with instructions, plinth and lamps. Additionally it has factory fitted DCC and Sound using an ESU Loksound chip (address 7007). It will also run on DC with no sound using the DCC/DC changover switch at the rear of the cab. Due to the box length and value, shipping (UK and International) is by DHL only at cost price. The prototype was into service from Crewe Works in April 1951 going to Stratford for running-in then moving to Norwich in May 1951 for service on the Great Eastern main line. One of the stud of Britannias superbly maintained on the GE section, giving sterling performance and availability. Following displacement by diesels it moved to March in November 1961 then Carlisle Kingmoor in December 1963 from where it was withdrawn in June 1965 as the first of the Britannia withdrawals. £3250.
