CKR04. Set of three GWR Clerestory Corridor Coaches by Lee Marsh Models. This set is represented in 1898 period GWR livery and comprises of (1) Lavatory Composite First/Second No. 1414 (Three compartment First plus Three compartment Second). (2) Lavatory All Third No. 3140 (Seven Compartment). (3) Brake/Luggage Third No. 2053 (Three Compartment).. Note that the First/Second coach has the garter crest which is correct for the period with a coach having First Class accommodation. These are probably the finest model coaches in ‘O’ gauge introduced since finescale modelling began. Complete with interior compartments with accurate buttoned seats, luggage racks, mirrors, over-seat illustrations, period no-smoking signs and accurately painted panelling. Having working LED internal lighting, an exquisite paint finish with period lining, ball races on each wheel set and a highly detailed underframe. The coaches are supplied in their original box with maintenance instructions having been very lightly used. However please note the following. As supplied the hard foam interior box packaging is too narrow making an extremely tight fit when the coaches are in place. This can result in damage, particularly in the area of buffers and buffer beams, if extreme care is not taken when removing the coaches from their packaging. In this case some damage was caused and subsequently repaired. Most notably, one buffer beam of the Composite coach came loose from the coach and has been sympathetically re-soldered in place. Other minor damage has been noted and repaired but some of the buffer beam chains have come loose and are subsequently missing. None of these issues affect the running of the coaches in any way. Also please note that the interior packing has been eased by removing a section of each of the compartments such that the coaches now fit without causing damage. Due to the value, shipping (UK and International) is by DHL only at cost price. £2995 for the Set of Three.
