BR ex-LMS Fowler 'Midland 4F' 0-6-0 Loco and Tender No. 44560 — Steamline Ltd.

LSKD08. BR ex-LMS Fowler 'Midland 4F' 0-6-0 Loco and Tender No. 44560. In plain BR black with late crest and shedplate 82G Templecombe (Somerset & Dorset). This is from a JM (John Maidment/Just Magic) brass kit and is fitted with an ABC multi-stage gearbox (probably with a Canon or similar motor), Slaters wheels, compensation on the leading two axles, and with good cab detail and crew. Additionally fitted with DCC and Sound using an ESU Loksound decoder (address 4560). The model is supplied in its original box having had medium use and one tender step tread is missing. The prototype was into service from Armstrong Whitworth (Newcastle) in April 1922. It was at Bath Green Park for many years and certainly through the transition from LMS to BR ownership in 1948. It went to Templecombe in April 1960 staying until November 1964 then to Gloucester Horton Road from where it was withdrawn in August 1965. SOLD.
