LRP17. GWR 'Achilles Class' Dean Single 4-2-2 Loco & Tender No. 3016 'Lightning' as a RESTORATION PROJECT. In lined GWR livery with scroll crest as used up to 1906. This is an older used model scratchbuilt in brass and fitted with a worm & wheel drive, Buhler or similar motor, solid cast wheels, and good cab detail with crew. The model does run but the following issues need to be resolved. (1) The bogie pivot needs improving. (2) Weight distribution on the loco needs improving to put more weight on the trailing axle. (3) The loco is lacking some underframe detail. (4) Part of the front coupling is missing. The prototype was into service from Swindon Works in April 1892 and was withdrawn in March 1911 as this wheel arrangement was phased out. £450 as a RESTORATION PROJECT.
