LPS14. BR ex- GWR Hawksworth 'Modified Hall' 4-6-0 Loco and Tender No. 6980 'Llanrumney Hall'. Paired with a Hawksworth tender and in lined BR green with late crest and shedplate 84G Shrewsbury (always known to locomen as 'Salop'). This is from a 'Big 4' kit brass plus extra detailing using Premier rods and with Martello and Springside fittings. Fitted with a multi-stage gearbox and associated can motor (looks to be of the motor/gearbox type used by Sancheng), Slaters wheels, and with excellent cab detail and crew. The model is lightly used but the green paintowrk is a touch light and the paintwork and lining could be improved. The prototype was into service from Swindon Works in November 1947 to Shrewsbury. It went to Tyseley in 1955 but only for a couple of months, returning to Shrewsbury until April 1959 thence to Wolverhampton Oxley. It went to Banbury in November 1964 being withdrawn from there in October 1965. £595.
