Fitted with Leakey 24v motor so will run nice and slow on a lower voltage but really needs 16v. Solid cast wheels with pickup on all 4 axles. The prototype was built at Gorton in 1918 and finished its life at Langwith Junction as BR 63902 in 1965. Reserved.

This unusual and rarely modelled loco is the Gresley P1 2-8-2 'Mikado' heavy freight loco built for working heavy coal trains south to London on the East Coast main line. The model represents LNER No. 2393 the first of a class of only 2 and is in LNER plain black. Built by Ray Rodgers based on an Ace kit with much modification (as they didn't actually produce a P1 kit). With enclosed gearbox, Slaters wheels, full cab detail. £995.

ZyWeb
