A very good model of Caledonian Railway Pickersgill Class 72 4-4-0 No 89 in Caledonian blue. I don’t have much information on this kitbuilt loco but it is well built with a Mashima motor, single reduction gearbox, Slaters wheels and good cab detail. It has had some light use. I have noticed one or two minor paint touch-ups, and there is some creasing of the tender caused in construction where the internal soldering of the coal space floor has caused a line to show on the tender side (this is more noticeable on one side than the other – see 6th photo). The prototype was into service from Armstrong Whitworth in 1921, becoming LMS 14494 thence BR 54494. It was withdrawn, probably from Perth, in August 1960. £795.
