An excellent model by L. H. Loveless of LNER Gresley A3 Pacific No. 2746 ‘Fairway’. This is in pre-war lined LNER apple green livery and paired with a corridor tender. It has excellent cab detail, crew and coal in the tender. It also has all the usual LHL refinements including working inside motion. The model is DC only and is lightly used and supplied in its original box. The prototype was into service from Doncaster Works to Kings Cross in October 1928 and was withdrawn from Gateshead in October 1964. Following the LNER practice of naming A3’s after racehorses, ‘Fairway’ was the winner of the St. Leger in 1928. SOLD.
