Fine Quality Model Railways in Gauge 'O' and Gauge '1'
An excellent model by Finescale Brass/Sancheng of Thompson LNER B1 4-6-0 No. 1000 ‘Springbok’. Lined, finished and then lightly weathered in LNER Apple Green with Gill Sans lettering by Warren Haywood. Excellent cab detail. The B1 models are generally considered as one of the best of the Sancheng locos. This one has been lightly used but one cab door has been refitted. Supplied with original box. The prototype entered service from Darlington works in December 1942, initially being allocated to Darlington thence to Gorton and then to several sheds in the South East and East Anglia. Its longest spell was at Stratford from 1948 to 1957, and the model has 'Stratford' on the buffer beam. It was withdrawn from Colwick in March 1962. £1350
