MDAB01. An excellent model of BR Cowans Sheldon 75 Ton Breakdown Crane with Support Vehicles. In plain BR black with early crest. This is the Edinburgh St. Margarets (64A) Breakdown crane No. RS1086/75 supplied with a 6-wheel Passenger coach, Box Van, open stone/ballast wagon and Brake Van. The crane is scratchbuilt with a wooden body and metal chassis and is non-working in the sense that it is complete but without winding mechanism. The support vehicles are as follows. A 6- wheel Passenger coach from a brass kit, a Brake Van from a plastic kit, a Box Van/Packing Van from a Slaters plastic kit fitted with compensation, and a stone/ballast wagon with wheelbarrow and spade from a whitemetal kit. The set is lightly used. The crane itself comes in a purpose made wooden box but I would not wish to post this so the model can be collected from Halifax (West Yorkshire) or from the Telford show on 31st August /1st September. I am struggling to identify the prototype under reference RS1086 so would appreciate some help on this. £1100 for the Crane with 4 Support Vehicles.
