LTP04. An excellent kitbuilt model of London & South Western Railway Adams ‘395’ class 0-6-0 tender loco No. 401. This is very well built and fitted with working inside motion, ABC motor/gearbox, extra pickups on the tender and excellent cab detail. The LSWR lined green paintwork is generally good but the lining could be improved upon. The model is lightly used. The prototype designed by William Adams was built by Neilson & Co. (Glasgow) in 1882 and was sold to the Government in 1917 as one of a batch of 50 of this class required for service with the Royal Engineers, 36 of which were sent to Palestine/Mesopotamia. It is likely that No. 401 was scrapped in Palestine in 1928. £1100.
