LQL26. LMS Stanier 'Jubilee' 4-6-0 Loco and Tender No. 5610 'Gold Coast'. In lined LMS crimson lake livery with insignia in yellow shaded red as running pre-war, and with shedplate 14B Kentish Town. This is a Limited Edition brass model built in Korea for Lee Marsh Models and fitted with all Lee's usual refinements including compensated chassis, working inside motion and superb cab detail additionally with crew fitted. The model is lightly used and is being sold as a DC model with a DCC blanking plug fitted in the 8-pin socket below the rear of the cab. It may have DCC fitted but both the lead from the tender and the socket below the cab have male connections so it is not possible to connect or test for the presence of DCC. It is supplied in a 'Footplate' box with photocopied instructions. The prototype was into service from Crewe Works in July 1934 as LMS No. 5610 'Gold Coast' and was renamed to 'Ghana' in December 1958 when the Gold Coast became Independent. It became BR No. 45610 and was withdrawn from Derby in January 1964 having spent almost all its BR life in the East Midlands. RESERVED.
