LMR01. An excellent model by L. H. Loveless of LNER Gresley A4 Pacific No. 2512 ‘Silver Fox’. This is in the three tone grey streamlined livery used from 1935 to 1937. It is a DC only loco. Fitted with corridor tender, and with excellent cab detail as well as all the usual Loveless refinements including working inside motion. The model is lightly used and supplied in its original box (the box lids for the internal boxes are missing, and the box says 1937 - 1942 livery but that is the ‘garter blue’ period). The prototype was into service from Doncaster Works to Kings Cross in December 1935 as one of the initial four A4’s for the ‘Silver Jubilee’ service. It was withdrawn from New England in October 1963 as BR 60017 having been a KX loco for almost all of its life. SOLD.
