LMIC01. An excellent model of Great Western ‘Castle’ 4-6-0 No. 5000 ‘Launceston Castle’. This is from a Malcolm Mitchell kit and looks to be professionally built and painted to a high standard. It has a double reduction gearbox with large Buhler type motor. Excellent cab detail. It also has working inside crossheads linked to working rocking levers on the outside cylinders. The model is lightly used. The prototype was into service from Swindon Works to Old Oak Common in August 1926. It was withdrawn from Wolverhampton Oxley in October 1964. SOLD.
