Fine Quality Model Railways in Gauge 'O' and Gauge '1'
A fine scratchbuilt model of Stanier ‘Duchess’ Pacific No. 46234 ‘Duchess of Abercorn’. In BR lined green with late crest, AWS gear and electrification flashes as running early 1960’s. This was built by well known Halifax scratchbuilder Clive Hutchinson and painted by Brian Badger. Fitted with compensated chassis, solid cast wheels and superb cab detail. I am not sure of the motor/gearbox combination. Shedplate 1B Camden. The model is lightly used, and needs wide radius curves. The prototype was into service from Crewe Works in August 1938 as one of the original non-streamlined locos and lasted until June 1963 when it was withdrawn from Carlisle Upperby having spent time there along with Camden and Crewe North.
