LIM01. A superb model by Golden Age Models of Peppercorn A1 Pacific No. 60161 ‘North British’. This is in lined BR green with early crest, shedplate 64B Edinburgh Haymarket. This is a very high specification model with factory fitted DCC (address 6016), sound and smoke and with all the usual Golden Age refinements including Faulhaber motor, fully working inside motion, opening smokebox door with internal detail and superb cab detail. Supplied in original box but smoke oil not included. The model is very lightly used possibly test run only. One of only 100 original A1 pacifics produced by Golden Age. One of four A1’s names after pregrouping railway companies, the prototype was into service from Doncaster Works to Haymarket in December 1949 and was withdrawn from Edinburgh St. Margarets in October 1963. £2700.
