LDH05. A fine model of BR Peppercorn A1 Pacific No. 60116 ‘Hal O’ The Wynd’. In BR lined green with early crest and shedplate 52B Heaton (Newcastle). This is a DJH factory built model with rivetted tender, DJH multi-stage gearbox and excellent cab detail. The model appears unused or very lightly used and is supplied in its original box. The prototype was into service from Doncaster Works to Heaton in October 1948 and stayed there until 1962 thence to Tweedmouth and finally to Gateshead where it was withdrawn in October 1964. As the third Peppercorn A1 No. 60116 was named after a character in one of Sir Walter Scott’s ‘Waverley’ novels.
