LAS09. A very good used model of a BR J72 0-6-0 Tank Loco No. 69012. In BR plain black with early crest, weathered, and shedplate 51D Middlesborough. Very well built from a good quality brass and whitemetal kit (probably DJH/Piercy) and with excellent cab detail. Looks like a Buhler motor with single reduction gearbox. My records show the prototype as into service in December 1949 which demanded further research. However its true, locos to a NER Worsdell design were still being built in BR days. What a fabulous tribute to a great Engineer. It was withdrawn from Thornton Junction in February 1961. £550.
