Fine Quality Model Railways in Gauge 'O' and Gauge '1'
LVT093.An excellent model by Masterpiece Models of Great Western Railway ‘King’ 4-6-0 No. 6024 ‘King Edward I’. This is in fully lined GWR green with garter crest circa pre- 1934 (by which time the Coats of Arms of London & Bristol had replaced the garter crest). Fitted with all the usual Masterpiece refinements such as working inside motion and additionally fitted with DCC and sound (address 6024). The model is lightly used and is supplied in its original box. The fall plate between loco and tender has been off at some time and carefully re-fixed. Cab crew have been added at some time, not currently fitted but supplied with the loco. The prototype was into service from Swindon Works in June 1930 and was withdrawn from Cardiff Canton in June 1962. After the usual sojourn at Barry Docks it was the 36th loco rescued from there for preservation. SOLD.
