A fine model by Finescale Brass/Sancheng of Great Western Railway No. 3717 ‘City of Truro’. This has the later version of the GWR livery with black frames and ‘Great Western’ in full on the tender. Fitted with working inside motion and excellent cab detail. Although built by Sancheng in China this model is one of a small number that were factory painted in Korea to a very high standard. Supplied new and unused in original box. The prototype to Churchward’s design entered service as 3440 from Swindon Works in 1903. It was renumbered to 3717 in 1912 and retired for preservation in 1931. £1650.
