An excellent older model from a Modern Motive Power (D.J. Parkin) kit of BR Standard ‘Britannia’ No. 70054 ‘Dornoch Firth’, last of class and paired with the high sided BR1D tender. This is in BR green with late crest and quite heavily weathered. Shedplate 55A Leeds Holbeck. Fitted with Portescap motor, Slaters wheels, compensation on loco and tender, and American pickup system. With good cab detail. The model has had some light use. The prototype was into service from Crewe Works to Polmadie in September 1954. It was at Holbeck from November 1958 to August 1962 (where photographic records show that they clearly had an issue with cleaning ‘Britannias’) and withdrawn from Kingmoor (Carlisle) in November 1966. £1395.
