Vulcan Beam Engine. The 'Vulcan' beam engine below is the work of Fred Folkland who worked as an engineer for Kodak in Hemel, and his hobby was building live steam models representing the early years of the Industrial Revolution. His work was always handbuilt to the most meticulous and demanding standards and he was clearly superbly skilled, taking several years to build some of his models. The 'Vulcan' represents a mill engine of circa 1850 with vertical cylinder driving through a 7.5" beam and an 8" flywheel. It is finished in green on brown on a cream coloured simulated stone plinth with an overall purpose made perspex cover. Overall height of the engine and plinth is 13" and width 16". Price £1795.
Two fine Stuart Models with reversing coming soon, see below.
